GABIER’N’RIGS at the service of superyachts.
Nearly 30 years ago, in 1997, David Penard decided to settle in Antibes. After having sailed the seas and oceans of the world, David put down roots. David has sailed all the oceans: 18 years in Asia working on shipyards in Singapore, Cochin, Tianjin, Fukuoka, and San Diego in 1988 with the Il Moro de Venezia, before returning home for a stint in Busan, South Korea.
It is with this same commitment to excellence that GABIER’N’RIGS was founded.
Its primary goal is to provide you with the best solutions for the construction of running and standing rigging, whether traditional or modern, for your cruising boat or your master yacht.
For generations, topmen have embodied the pinnacle of maritime expertise. Masters of the mast, they were renowned for their precision, dedication, and profound knowledge of rigging. This mastery was forged through experience and fueled by passion.
It is in this spirit of unwavering commitment to excellence that GABIER’N’RIGS was born.
The company and its team perpetuate this tradition of excellence by offering bespoke solutions for the design and construction of running and standing rigging, combining technical expertise, elegance, and reliability.
Whether for exceptional yachts or cruising sailboats, each project is approached with the same level of exacting standards, precision, and attention to detail—serving both cruising vessels and exceptional yachts alike.
GABIER’N’RIGS offers you comprehensive and demanding expertise, capable of meeting all your needs, whatever the type and size of your boat.
With extensive nautical experience and a constant drive for innovation, our team designs reliable, durable, and perfectly tailored solutions.
Our fully equipped workshops—including a splicing workshop, a leather workshop, a hydraulic workshop, and mechanical and manual swaging equipment—allow us to work with precision and efficiency. All our tools are mobile, ensuring rapid on-site response.
We maintain a large stock of ropes, cables, and leather, and custom-make lifting kits and strops, lashing systems, and mooring lines.
Each project is managed by a team that pays meticulous attention to detail and respects the specific requirements of each vessel.
