David has sailed all the oceans: 18 years in Asia working on shipyards in Singapore, Cochin, Tianjin, Fukuoka, and San Diego in 1988 with the Il Moro de Venezia, before returning home for a stint in Busan, South Korea.

Drawing on this expertise in shipbuilding, David assembles a new shore-based crew, present at the most prestigious regattas, where his professional experience allows him to support the performance and smooth operation of the proposed solutions. A professional rigger and expert in rigging, a true nautical craftsman, he supports you in your passion and in the life of your boat.
David Penard is also the creator and designer of MANITEX, a textile shackle he patented and registered in 2005. Based near the port of Antibes, between Cannes and Nice in France, GABIER’N’RIGS operates both in France and internationally, working with all types of shipyards. They are technical specialists in yachting and all aspects of compliance for all types of boats, from sailboats to superyachts.
